Rainy Election Day and the Dentist

I slogged through the massive rain to the dentist this morning, leaving home at 6:20 a.m. for my 7 a.m. dental appointment. I had one upper and one lower cavity, so they numbed essentially my entire mouth, which means that right now it's good that I am typing and not talking to you or you would be watching me drool and try to keep my tongue from lolling out of my mouth golden retriever style.

The dentist was actually really nice, and pretty easy on the eyes, so all in all, as far as fillings go, it wasn't quite as awful as I had anticipated.

With a numb face and a lolling tongue, I headed out to the polls to vote. Once again, not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. And, I was a real, true, honest-to-god undecided voter. None of my friends here could believe I hadn't made up my mind, but I really hadn't until this morning. I feel like this presidential race is essentially trying to find the lesser of two evils. I'm not gonna say any more about it, because this is emphatically not a political blog, but I did my civic duty and I voted. I'm not really happy about my choices, but at least I made one.
