It's been a long couple of days, I barely made it back yesterday after an adventure filled day with American Airlines, and today my friend who I'm staying with was kind enough to spend her day driving me around looking at neighborhoods and potential places. I'm staggered by the magnitude of this whole "finding a place to live" project...it's been so long since I really had to do this on my own...and this is a HUGE city. But, it was probably the most beautiful day here that I've seen in the last year, and it feels good to be back on the West Coast, soaking in the perfect 74 degree weather...we even stopped by the beach (such as it is) for an hour or so. It was spectacular and clear with a clear view of the TVPN mountain. I'm exhausted...and tomorrow I start the apartment hunt for real, so hopefully I'll find something relatively quickly and be able to start my summer "vacation." There will be more posts (and hopefully at least some of them will be more entertaining than this) upcoming...after at least one good night's sleep and perhaps a nice glass of wine. Sweet, sweet wine. Ahhhhhh.
